Outlook for Mac users:

NOTE: Please make sure your Mac OS version is 10.10 (Yosemite) or higher. Outlook for Mac will not connect to Office365 on older versions ie: 10.9, 10.8 and 10.7

To find your Mac OS version:
a. go to the top menu bar.
b. click on the apple icon and the drop down menu appears.
c. click on “About This Mac”
d. A window will appear with your “MacOS” version number.

If your Mac is 10.9 (Mavericks) or below, please submit a service request to upgrade your Mac.

Outlook Preparation Instructions:
a. Open Outlook 2016, on the top menu bar click on Outlook, a drop-down menu will appear, click on Preferences.
b. In the Outlook preferences window, click on the Accounts icon.
c. On the left window pane click on your CUMC email account.
d. On the “User name” field, enter your full CUMC email address UNI@cumc.columbia.edu.
e. All other entries will remain the same.
f. Close the “Accounts” window.
g. Go back to your Outlook, look at the bottom right status bar, you should see “Connected to” status message. If there is a “Not Connect to” status message, quit and reopen Outlook.
